Wenty scores major makeover

Wenty Leagues will look completely different when renovations finish in 2025.

Popular local watering hole Wenty Leagues is getting a fresh new look, with the premier club aiming to become an entertainment destination for all.

The Wentworthville club has revealed the first look at plans for an upgraded venue, including an expansion of the Wenty Lounge, a transformed café and a “world-class” entertainment hub.

Set to be completed in May 2025, Wenty Leagues said the upgrades will bring a new level of vibrancy to the club’s entertainment areas, promising an exceptional experience for members and guests.

“Everything we’re working towards with our renovation is to really amplify our ‘home away from home’ feeling, so we want to just bring extra comfort and extra places for our members to be able to come together as a community,” a Wenty Leagues representative told Parra News.

During the course of the project, visitors to the club will still be able to enjoy the activities currently on offer at the club, with The Plaza being unaffected in operations and continuing to offer up many food options in Chef’s Grill, Pizza Mama, and Red Panda Noodles.

The existing Wenty Cafe, which will be temporarily relocated and renamed The Cafe, will continue to serve up all the dishes members know and love, along with some new favourites.

Wenty Leagues said the revamped cafe will provide a relaxing environment for members to unwind and savour delicious food and beverages.

“We’re working as hard as we can to make sure all our normal activities are running as normal, there’s been a lot of planning that has gone into place to make it as seamless as possible for our members and guests,” the representative added.

Wenty Leagues also said improved accessibility and inclusivity will be a top priority, with the club stating that the upgrades will see the renovated facilities cater for mobility-impaired individuals.

Ian McCann, President of Wenty Leagues Club, expressed his excitement about the club’s next phase.

“This project is a testament to our commitment to creating a remarkable entertainment destination,” he said.

“We are dedicated to enhancing the member and guest experience and are eager to continue to engage the community throughout the project, whilst maintaining our regular activities.”

Throughout the renovations, Wenty Leagues said various stages will be released, providing visitors plenty of opportunities to see the progress of the works along the way.

“Our goal has always been to deliver exceptional experiences for our members,” Glenn Kovacs, CEO of Wenty Leagues Club, added.

“This project aligns perfectly with this mission, and we are enthusiastic about the positive impact it will have on our community.”
