Busways is driving home the holiday spirit, with the much-loved Christmas buses returning for another year.
Decked out with twinkling ornaments, shiny baubles and plenty of tinsel, it’s impossible for passengers hopping on board a Christmas bus to feel anything but joy – even if they’re headed to work.
Every year, the team at Busways go above and beyond to make their passengers journey more festive in the lead up to Christmas.
And it’s all for a good cause.
Those who hop onboard are encouraged to donate to Westmead Children’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit by scanning a QR code on the onboard poster or by visiting Busways PayPal charity page online.
For every dollar raised, Busways will match it – doubling the impact of each contribution.
Peter Barnett, Area Manager of the Busways Western Sydney region, said decorating the buses is an annual Busways tradition that marks the beginning of the festive season.
“Each year, the Christmas buses give everyone a lift – from our employees who love decorating and driving them to our customers who have a blast riding them,” he added.
“The smiles, excitement and social media shares from our customers are just priceless, and their generosity helps us support kids in need at Westmead Hospital.”
This year, there is around five Christmas buses that will travel on a variety of routes across Parramatta.
To catch a Christmas bus, locals will have to check out the Busways transport app for the Christmas tree symbol.
“So, if you spot a Busways bus adorned with bouncing baubles this December, remember – you’re not just catching a ride; you’re experiencing a slice of festive magic while supporting a fantastic cause,” Busways said.
“Keep an eye out for our Christmas buses while commuting or shopping— they’re jingling with joy all the way!
“Busways wishes all our wonderful customers a happy and safe holiday season.”
