Appeal to identify men involved in home invasion

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed home invasion in Carlingford last month.

About 11pm on Thursday, January 23, police were called to Tomah Street, Carlingford, following reports of a home invasion.

Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command arrived and were told three masked men – armed with firearms and knives – entered the home and restrained four occupants.

After ransacking the home, the three men allegedly left with an amount of cash and property after being confronted by an occupant who managed to free themselves.

The armed men left in a white van.

All four occupants were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries.

An investigation into the incident commenced by detectives attached to Ryde Police Area Command under Strike Force Institutes.

As inquiries continue, investigators have released vision of a white van and three men who may be able to assist with the investigation.

The first man is described as Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, solid build, wearing all dark clothing and dark balaclava.

The second man is described as African appearance, about 180cm tall, slim build, wearing all dark clothing and dark balaclava.

The third man is described only as Middle Eastern appearance.
