Fun, chaos and more at Bubble Planet

Fun at the Selfie Room.

Bubble Planet, the newest interactive experience to come to Sydney Olympic Park is a pastel coloured treat for kids and adults alike.

With 10 different landscapes to explore, all designed to ignite your senses, you just might rediscover your love of bubbles – I know I sure did.

With so much to see and do, here are my favourite landscapes within the Bubble Planet Experience:

Bubble Ocean

The Bubble Ocean is pink chaos in the best way. A room filled with large, pink balloons bouncing everywhere was a surprising joy to be in. It brought back the glee of playing with balloons as a child and it was impossible not to laugh at the mayhem of balloons hitting you in the head as you made your way through.

The room featured pink and blue overhead lighting which only increased the feeling of wonder. This room would be a wonderful experience for kids, although I would keep hold of any small children, as it’s easy to lose sight with balloons flying everywhere.

Giant Bubble

The Giant Bubble is a large dome with mirrors for floors and bubble-esque projections on the walls. It also served as an echo chamber, meaning while inside you were able to hear conversations from the other side of the room, as if you were really inside a giant bubble. The dome was also fitted with large bean bags, perfect for lounging on while watching the scenes change before your eyes.

This landscape brought joy to every child who entered, and the bean bags were a great touch for adults who’d like to have a momentary rest.

Selfie Room

The Selfie Room was a hotspot of activity throughout the whole experience, providing possibly the best Instagram location in the city. Featuring six different photo opportunities, it was a hive of activity with everyone trying to get their best shot. The set ups included a bubble window, a bathtub full of rubber ducks (my favourite), a swing, an optical illusion staircase, a chance to encase yourself in a real giant bubble, and a chance for a funny bubble-inspired shoot.

This was definitely a highlight of the experience, and a chance to let loose and be silly with friends and family. The wait times for each set up are short and you can easily go through each one to find your next perfect Instagram post.

Infinity Room

Lights are the feature of the Infinity Room, with long strings of colour changing lights hanging from the ceiling, creating illusions in this mirror-walled room. Guests could walk a path through the lights and be carried away by the seemingly never ending light show. This room was met with awe and fascination from all those around me as we walked the path, trying to decipher what’s reflection and what’s real life. This exhibit does have a strobe light warning, so be mindful when taking part.

Bubble Bath

The Bubble Bath exceeded expectations. If you can imagine a large pool-sized rectangle, filled to the brim with bubble- like balls, to create a large bubble bath for all to enjoy. This landscape is the standout of the experience for me, again providing plenty of laughs amongst the mayhem of ‘floating’ in a ball pit. I will say, the balls can be slightly overwhelming and not easy to get out of, so I would keep close to small children. Overall however it’s a guaranteed laugh, especially if you need a friend to pull you out at the end like I did.

The Bubble Planet Experience is an awe-inspiring, interactive adventure for all ages, and an experience like no other. Currently open and running until 2026, there’s no excuse to miss out on this Bubble-tastic experience!
