Man dramatically rescued from Parramatta River

A man remains in hospital this morning after being rescued by police from the Parramatta River.

Just after 7.40pm last night, emergency services responded to the Parramatta River, after reports of a man heard yelling for help.

Officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command attended and entered the water, rescuing the swimmer who was semi-conscious.

Police began first aid on the 30-year-old man before he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
