Parramatta’s beleaguered light rail project has some good news tonight, with the national safety regulator granting approval for the operation of passenger services.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports the light rail line, which runs through the Parramatta CBD, received the approval today.
It will be up to the State Government when they hit the green light on the project, but it’s anticipated to be early in the new year.
The first stage of the light rail runs for 12km.
