A police officer has been charged with assault following an incident in Wentworthville earlier this year.
Following an internal investigation into an incident at Smith Street, Wentworthville, on Thursday, January 26, a male constable, attached to South West Metro Region, has been served a court attendance notice today, charged with three counts of ‘common assault’.
The 26-year-old will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday, June 13.
His employment status is under review.
